Sporty Peppers among the 12 finalists for the Silver Valley 2025 Award
Sporty Peppers was one of the 12 finalists for the 2025 Silver Valley Award. This selection was a strong recognition of the team's work in promoting active, accessible, and fun aging, alongside other committed initiatives in the silver economy ecosystem.
Active video games designed for seniors
The active video games, or exergames, developed by Sporty Peppers aim to encourage regular physical activity, which is essential for maintaining health and functional abilities as we age. The Sprint Racers solution includes settings—difficulty, intensity, obstacles, and duration—that allow the gaming experience to be finely tuned to the abilities and needs of each senior.
This work was supported by the Île-de-France Region, Bpifrance, Silver Valley, and Cap Digital, as part of the Innov'up Bien vieillir (Innov'up Aging Well) program, with the support of PRIF - Prévention Retraite Île-de-France (Île-de-France Retirement Prevention) for mobilizing study participants.
Solid scientific validation
Sporty Peppers' solutions are based on research conducted with the Active Aging Chair, under the direction of Jean-Jacques Temprado, with Nicolas Mascret and the Institut des Sciences du Mouvement. Two studies conducted with seniors confirmed the acceptability of the games and the perceived benefits, particularly the importance placed on personalizing the experience.
Recognized momentum
This selection for the Silver Valley Award was in line with the recognition already obtained by Sporty Peppers, with the Social Innovation Award for Healthy Aging, presented by Notre Temps and the Fonds Bayard Agir, as part of the Prix Héros de Notre Temps at the 2024 Senior Citizens' Fair.
Being one of the 12 finalists for the 2025 Silver Valley Award has raised the profile of the project and confirmed the relevance of active video games as a lever for engagement in healthy aging, an ambition that Sporty Peppers pursues on a daily basis alongside its partners.
